My name is Remund, and I am an Assistant Professor from the Department of Agribusiness Management and Entrepreneurship (DAME) at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). Before joining DAME in 2020, I completed my MBA from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University in Arizona, USA. Before shifting my career focus to management and business, I spent most of my profession in engineering design and power systems research. I also have an MS in Electrical and Information Engineering from Seoul National University of Science and Technology in Seoul, South Korea, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from UPLB.I was part of the Environmental Defense Fund Climate Corps in the US. This fellowship program pairs graduate students with organizations aiming to meet their climate and energy goals. I was also a recipient of the Forward Focus MBA Scholarship from the W. P. Carey School of Business.With my management and engineering background, I am keen on exploring the intersection of agriculture, business, and technology to innovate and elevate the Philippines' agribusiness sector. Among my research interests are digital transformation in agribusiness, product and service design and innovation, and sustainable operations management.
